GodMOTHER, not Godfather

We've been watching The Brother's Sun, a The Godfather set in Taiwanese gangland. Except this time around it's the Godmother, as brilliantly played by Michelle Yeoh who has redefined the steely family matriarch with a particular Asian twist. We've loved the lighthearted mash up of comedy, martial arts and superb plotting. Another show that has a wide range of characters that happen to be Asian, not just the paint-by-numbers stereotypes that hopefully we have seen the last of. Highly recommend for an entertaining night in! Watch on Netflix.
